Why work at camp?
part of what makes tamakwa so special is the new staff that join our team each summer. every summer, staff come from all around the world to spend 2 months up in beautiful algonquin park. no matter what position you have in the summer, you will always have an extremely rewarding experience. Tamakwa is a place that allows you to be yourself and have fun.
Typically, staff are required to live with the kids, accompany them to activities, help lead them on canoe trips and other outings, supervise them at meals, and generally look out for their well-being. You are their role models for the summer.
staff get one day off a week as well as nightly snack and staff rec activities.
